Abstract (EN)
Supply chain management concept means managing logistics activities to provide total customer benefit with the participation of each organization in the chain. These logistics activies include supplying raw materials of a product, delivering it to the final customer and product returns. In today's business world, supply chain management is a crucial management activity that helps companies to have better products and services in less cost, which is also a function of competitive advantage. In supply chain management process, there are many risk factors that makes difficult or in many cases impossible to deliver the product and additional services of it to the customer. Recent developments such as being supply chain more complex, shortening product life cycles and political instability are increasing supply chain risks which attracts therefore, much attention of both the researchers and the practitioners. In this study, perception of supply chain risk sources, supply chain risk management actitivies, supply chain performance constructs solely, and relationships among these constructs are examined on the retailers (n=429) in Mersin. According to the findings, retailer's perception of supply chain risk sources affect supply chain risk management activities, and supply chain risk management activities affect supply chain performance significantly. Besides, there are significant differences between retailer business types in terms of perception of supply chain risk sources and supply chain risk management activities.
