Single vessel off the pump and pump (lima-lad) coronary artery bypass surgery is the incidence of major cardiovascular events in patients with made comparison

We aimed to determine the early and mid-term cardiovascular risk incidence in patients with single vessel LIMA-LAD off-pump and on-pump CABG. It is a high possibility to see a lot of complications because of cardiovascular surgery's and anesthesia's high morbidity and mortality. Comparison between patients uderwent off-pump and on-pump single vessel CABG has not been made in the previous studies and due to this there is no sufficient data of which complication is mostly related with this interventions so we aimed to determine the factors which may contribute to this relationship and to find if there is any effect of hospitalization period over the cardiovascular complication frequency. The study population included 40 patients with atherosclerotic single vessel LAD coroner artery lesion,who underwent LİMA-LAD CABG in the Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic of the Celal Bayar University Medical Faculty between 2007 and 2013. Off-pump CABG was performed on 23 patients, on-pump patients were 17. We found that demografic characteristics as age, sex, weight, Miocard infarctus, Diabetes Mellitus, High Tension, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Desease, Periferic Artery Desease, Cerebrovascular Desease, underwent revascularisation, smoking, Ejection Fraction and chreatinin was similar. İn the early postoperative follow up the İCU period and the hospitalization period in the off-pump group was found to be shorter than the on-pump group. Atrial Fibrillation frequency was found lesser in the off-pump group. İf we consider that cardioplulmonary by-pass effects all systems in the body; in the patients with single vessel LAD lesion undergoing off-pump CABG there is no need of agressive manipulation and cardiac stabilisation and depending on the surgeon's experience complete revascularisatin like CPB can be achieved so off-pump CABG techique shoudl be considered as a first option in suitbable cases
