Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between technology addiction and sleep quality and psychological well-being in young adults. The sample of the research, designed within the framework of the relational screening model, consisted of a total of 265 people, 105 men and 160 women, aged between 18-40. Demographic Information Form, Technology Addiction Scale, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Psychological Well-Being Scale were used as data collection tools in the study. The relationship between technology addiction and psychological well-being and sleep quality was analyzed, and the relationship of the variables was evaluated by regression analysis. SPSS v23 statistical program was used in the analysis of this section of the research. The mediating role of sleep quality in the effect of technology addiction on psychological well-being was evaluated by structural equation modeling. The mediating role of sleep quality in the effect of technology addiction on psychological well-being was evaluated using the Hayes Process and Bootstrap method. According to the results, a partial mediating effect of sleep quality on the effect of technology addiction on psychological well-being was detected. Research findings, in line with the results of other similar studies in the literature, showed that individuals with high technology addiction have negative effects on their psychological well-being due to poor sleep quality.
