Abstract (EN)
The process that humanity has entered into after the industrial revolution has brought along development, transformation and their side effects. People living in the 21st century, which is called the modern age, have discovered the machines of technology and the virtual universe, and started to use them in their daily life and business life. Uncontrolled increase in the level of stress negatively affects the life of the individual. The stress element that gets out of control as a result of the intervention of internal and external factors (individual/organizational) leads to negative developments in the individual's work life. Stress, which has become one of the biggest problems of modern man, has manifested itself in different dimensions in business life with the pandemic that affected the world in the early 2020s. This process has a great role in the concept of stress gaining a dimension as technostress. In workplaces where Techno-Overload / Workload, which is one of the creative elements of technostress, is too much, it has a great effect on the intention to quit the job by imposing more workload on employees than they can handle and the uncertainty of the roles they impose at work. Intention to quit is the previous step of the act of quitting. When the intention to quit is put into action, it puts organizations in a difficult situation both financially and morally. Today, with increasing competition, businesses attach importance to working with permanent staff who do not intend to quit in order to maintain their sustainability. When organizational, environmental and personal factors are evaluated among the factors affecting turnover intention, it is seen that the employee's job dissatisfaction, not meeting expectations regarding wages, career planning for a different institution, family situations, technology-based stress factors, excessive workload in the workplace affect turnover intention. Organizational factors, on the other hand, include managers' lack of fair behavior, problems in the form of conflicts within the organization, inadequate physical conditions at the workplace, etc. Environmental factors affecting turnover intention are government policies, economic fluctuations, and labor turnover. In the study the effect of technostress on turnover intentions of owners/managers working in the automotive sector is becoming more and more noticeable. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between technostress and turnover intention with quantitative methods and evaluate it within the sample. Within the scope of this purpose; the sample of our research consists of 212 owner/manager employees/employers or employers serving in the automotive spare parts sector in Bursa province. The collected data were collected by questionnaire method, PLSEM method was used and analyzed using Smart PLS program. The findings revealed that technostress has a significant and positive effect on turnover intention. However, a significant effect was also seen in the effect of techno workload, which has sub-dimensions, on turnover intention, and no significant relationship was found in the hypotheses of techno uncertainty and techno complexity on turnover intention. This study makes visible the factors of technostress-induced turnover decisions of white-collar employees/employers in the automotive sector.
