Abstract (EN)
In this Master's thesis titled "Analysis of the Use of Textile-Based Protective Equipment in Hospitals within the Scope of Waste Management", the usage data of protective equipment produced from textile products within the scope of occupational health and safety in a hospital in Adana in 2024 were examined. At the same time, the waste collection, storage and recycling processes of these protective equipment were monitored. Necessary permissions were obtained from the Adana Provincial Health Directorate for hospital data collection. The study does not contain ethical elements. In this study, statistical data of textile protective equipment, usage amounts among hospital units and 12-month data within a year were analyzed. Monthly usage of textile-based protective equipment used in the hospital units was analyzed as real information that could be used as data for waste management in 2024 for the relevant unit.
