In this thesis, textile reinforced composites were investigated in ballistic material production and their performance was tried to be revealed. In the thesis, information was given about the protection levels related to ballistics, textile reinforcements were examined separately as fiber and fabric, and then current studies on textile reinforced ballistic composites were tried to be given by considering their peformance. In the studies, it was seen that especially Kevlar fabric reinforcements were used in different layers in composite ballistics production. It has been observed that the plain fabric structure gives higher performance as the fabric structure, and the use of at least 20 layers of fabric structure has an effective ballistic performance It has been observed that UHMWPE fiber bundles are the best performance material as fiber (filament yarn) as reinforcement.
