Occupational health and safety performance in telecommunication workplaces

Today, businesses have started to work on the efficiency of their business processes and the measurement of the relationship between them. Businesses; it is now beginning to see that it is necessary to monitor occupational health, safety and environmental performance. It is observed that the enterprises are in an effort to develop measurement methods that will demonstrate the OHS-E performance in a practical and objective way, integrated with their own procedures and the requirement of legal legislation in force. For this reason, it is planned to develop and implement an OHS-E performance measurement model by determining indexes based on expandable numerical indicators so that it can objectively measure occupational health and safety performance in the subject mentioned in various businesses operating in the same field and in addition to adding performance criteria based on new processes. In this study, 32 indicators were determined to quantify the processes of businesses that are being carried out on a sustainable basis. In order to make sense of these indicators and to correlate them, evaluations were made under 9 main groups. The processes of the 45 enterprises in the sector where the study will be carried out were examined and visited on-site, and it was decided to perform 29 workplaces that are included in the very dangerous jobs class, where the OHS-E processes are prioritized and realistic results are considered. As a result of the study, the workplaces where the study was conducted were provided to see in a concrete way the levels of occupational health and environmental issues and their comparison with other businesses. During these processes, assistance was provided on where to start the improvement works that should be done primarily.
