Investigation of the status, development and user expectations of the thematic hotels on the space design in Antalya province scale

By the Industrial Revolution developments in the society life have caused the changes and variations in the qualification of tourism structures. In order to meet the expectations variations and experiences of the changing tourist profile, themed hotels are visually improved have been designed. Today; themed hotels which are contributing to the promotion of the regions and increasing their tourism potential, are located in many parts of the world. In our country also the number of themed hotels, which was first built in Antalya Province, are increasing day by day. Meeting the high expectations of hotel guests is depending on the quality of the main possibilities and also capability to opportunate the new experiences of themed hotels. Themed hotels should transfer its theme to the guests by reflecting it to design of the hotel, goods and services. In this study; to determine the effects of this change on the expectations and desires of tourists on the themed hotel, a field study was performed through hotels with different themes and design approaches in Antalya Province. The information and findings from the authorities of hotels and guests that accommodates in themed hotel were evaluated.
