Abstract (EN)
Sarılop, is the main fig variety of the Aegean Region fig population and possess high dried fruit quality. Despite its supreme dried fruit quality, it has some negative properties as susceptibility tocracking and sun-scald and large ostiole opening that allow seasy entrance of pests and diseases. In order to benefit from the variation present within the Sarılop population in the Aegean Region, a parcel was established at Fig Research Institute (Aydın-Turkey) with 25 Sarılop clones identified and selected as high performing in 1994. This study is designed to select the base material that will be further registered and maintained for propagation. In this regard, morphological, phenological, and pomological properties and yields of 25 Sarılop clones were evaluated in 2015 and 2016. Obtained data were evaluated through variance and principle component analysis and 'weighed rankit' methods. The parameters that stood up as significantin principle componenet analysis were used as the criteria torank clones by 'weighed rankit'method. Results proved that clones that ranked as high performing in respect to fresh quality differed than those for dried fruit quality, the first ten clones selected in weighed rankit evaluation for dried fig quality were 82, 75, 83, 59, 63, 32, 66, 69, 37 and 20; and for fresh fruit quality clones 34, 20, 50, 69, 32, 43, 58, 59, 74 and 28 and these clones were found as promising. Key Words: Clonal selection, Ficus carica L., dried fig, principle component analysis, weighed rankit method
