Abstract (EN)

In this study, the understanding of prophethood of Mu'tazila, who is known with the importance he gives to mind, and the responses he gave to people and currents who objected or criticized prophethood, were discussed. Throughout history, there has been criticism or objection to prophethood from various perspective. Although there are those who base the origin of the thought that refuses prophethood, Aristotle is one of the trends that systematically emerge. In addition to currents such as Barahima and Sumeniyya, notables such as Ibn al-Rawendi and Abu bakr al-Razi also remained on the agenda at certain times in history with their thoughts that refused prophethood. This mentality has made objections not only to prophethood, but also to the prophet's prophethood, the idea of "Khatmu'n-Nubuvva" and the Qur'an. In the recent period, it is seen that currents such as Deism and Positivism continue the thoughts of the denial currents mentioned. Scholars such as Qadi Abd al-Jabbar and Jahiz from Mu'tazila defended prophethood by responding to such objections and chapters during their lifetime. In this study, firstly, concepts of prophethood are discussed and in this context, the understanding of prophethood of Mu'tazila is explained. Later, those who objected to prophethood were introduced and their claims were put forward. Finally, the answers given by Mu'tazila to these objections were evaluated. As a result, it has been observed that the claims made by Barahima, Ibn al-Rawendi, and Abu Bakr al-Razi, and the trends such as Deism and Positivism today are similar. In this sense, it can be said that the prophetic defense of Mu'tazila is very valuable, it has a character that reduces the doubts in the human mind and sheds light on the present day. In our opinion, in order to be able to give reasonable answers to the denial currents and eliminate their objections, it is necessary to know the answers of Mu'tazila and their responses to the conquerors in their own period.
