The transition from aristocrat to bourgeois family in Thomas Mann's roman Buddenbrooks

The important representative of German literatur Thomas Mann, worked on a rich german bourgeois family in his first novel Buddenbrooks which he inspired from his family life and wrote. He flaunted flashily the variation, that they lived, in the adventure of four generations family. We can see the effect of this variation on commercial Buddenbrooks`s life, marriage, divorces, success and un success. At the same time Mann sheded light on problems that occured in europe between eighteenth and nineteenth ceturies, and put forward life of aristocrat, bourgeois and middle class in a realistic way. He tells that by the dissolving and with the loss of family, aristocracy cames to end too. Thomas Mann try to show the basic reason of most of this with cultural degeneration of society and he gives both positive and negative sides of bourgeoisie all together. Mann attracted our attention on bourgeoisie with positive form of life like industriousness, sense of mission, thriftiness and with negative form of life like mercenariness, idleness.It is of course that Thomas Mann did not want to tell his family. But it is very thought-provoking to point out deliberately the effects of a period on family and institution of family.
