The comparison of objective and subjective tests after the use of trimetazidine hydrocloride by tinnitus patients

Tinnitus is described as the perception of sound by human ear, without any external sound. Tinnitus is one of the most fruquent symton of hearing system that affects the quality of life and gives rise to pschysocial problem. Although the pathopsicology of tinnitus has not been understood, well it is accepted that the anatomical and/or fonctional changes of hearing system is the main aetiological factor. While the incidence of tinnitus is high among the population and it results with social and pschological problems as well there isn?t stil standart protocol for assesment of tinnitus patient.In this study 40 tinnitus patients (12 female, 28 male) reffered to our clinic and received trimetazidine treament were avolvated by patient avolvation form (For demographical and medical data), by visual analog scala (For subjective avolvation of tinnitus) and by audiological assesment form (For audiological finding). The giles of the patients were examined for pre- and post treatment pure audiograms, frequency and intensity tinnitus, minimal masking, residual inhibition and visual analog scala.According to the statistical analysis VAS scores, tinnitus intensity, the frequency of tinnitus, the discomfort by tinnitus and the concentration loss are found to be decrease by given medication (p 0.000). The objective audiological findings, tinnitus frequency (p 0.250), tinnitus intensity (p 0.057), minimal masking level (p 0.213) are found to have no statistically significent changes.
