Özet (EN)

Tip 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM), autoimmune treatment of beta cells in the pancreatic organ in children or a chronic insulin deficiency resulting from breakdown for other reasons. T1DM is a metabolic disease. Diabetes mellitus (DM), macrovascular diseases, retinopathy, neuropathy, nephropathy, after problems such as late healing in injuries, periodontal diseases are also a it appears as a complication. In the study, in children aged 6-15 with T1DM, serum, saliva and gingival Groove in the liquid; neopterin, Procalcitonin and glutathione peroxidase activity in the same age group it is aimed to be compared with healthy children. Neopterin, which plays a role in bacterial infections as a result of the study, procalcitonin and glutathione peroxidase values were examined. Diabetes in serum and saliva secretion and control group while the correlations between are significant (p≤0,05),no significant difference in gingival fluid (p≥0,05). By characterizing the presence of bacterial infection, neopterin and procalcitonin levels. It was observed that there was an increase in diabetic sick children compared to systemic healthy children. Bacterial increase in free radicals in infection, with diabetes by lowering glutathione peroxidase level. Glutathione peroxidase levels were found to be lower in children than systemic healthy children.
