Abstract (EN)
This thesis has been prepared in order to analyze the narrations in the prayer section of Imam al-Tirmidhi's work "al-Jāmi'" in terms of their scenario and content. Within the scope of the research, the relevant narrations were examined in detail by using document analysis, one of the qualitative analysis methods, and Imam Tirmidhi's narration methodology and the place of the concept of prayer in hadiths were evaluated. The main purpose of the research is to analyze the narrations in the prayer section of al-Tirmidhi's work "al-Jāmi'" from the textual aspect, to reveal its reflection on the Islamic tradition and its importance in the literature. In addition to this, the narrations narrated in the prayer section of his work "al-Jāmi'" were analyzed by identifying and graphically analyzing Tirmidhī's conclusions about their authenticity. The findings show how valuable al-Tirmidhi's contributions to the science of hadith are and that the method he followed is an important reference for today's hadith studies. In addition to determining the place and importance of prayer narrations in Islamic literature, the study also provides an important source for the correct understanding and interpretation of these narrations. The content analysis of al-Tirmidhi's prayer narrations examines the role of these narrations in religious practices and their meaning for believers. The study concludes that a special literature on prayer has emerged in the Islamic tradition and that al-Tirmidhi's al-Jami' is the source of this literature. In addition, it is concluded that the narrations that prioritize dhikr with the tongue over jihad and expenditure, and that promise the payment of debts and the strengthening of memory through recited prayers do not coincide with the Qur'an and the Prophet's sirah. Ultimately, this thesis analyzes the content and the script of the prayer narrations in Imam al-Tirmidhi's work "al-Jāmi'" and reveals al-Tirmidhi's contributions to the science of hadith and the place of the concept of prayer in the Islamic tradition. The findings of the study are an important guide for the correct understanding and interpretation of prayer narrations.
