The restoration proposal of the Tokat Erbaa `Silahtar Ömer Paşa? Mosque

The subject of this study is the restoration proposal of the `Silahtar Ömer Paşa? Mosque constructed in Akça which is the town of Erbaa county in the city of Tokat. The aim of the study is to develope a proposal of the conservation of `Silahtar Ömer Paşa? Mosque which has unique properties both architectural and history of art point of view in order to convey to next generation. For this purpose, this historically important mosque have been analyzed on-site, relief measurements have been taken and documented in digital environment. Reassembling was done by evaluating building?s all written, visual and graphical documents. Furthermore, in the scope of this study, other timber pillared mosques in Anotolia was examined and compared with this mosque in order to determine its originality. Consequently, in the light of obtained data and evaluations, modern and applicable restoration proposals of `Silahtar Ömer Paşa?
