Özet (EN)
World Health organization and similar national and international organizations established both Pb and Ni concentrations in drinking water as 20 µg/L. Although flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) is used commonly for trace metal analysis, the sensitivity of this method is lower than such low levels. This disadvantage of FAAS that is reliable, precise and economicaly, can be improved by using preconcentration methods. In the literature, adsorbents such as activated carbon, amberlite XAD resin, citosan, zeolit, clay and silicagel are used together with complexing reagents including PAR, PAN, oxine, cupferron, APDC and 1,10 fenatrolin. Particularly, interest in polimeric resins having direct usage without any complexing reagent is increased nowadays. In this study, a modified polymeric resin that is synthesed by reaction of chlorosulfonated polystiren and remazol black B. was used as adsorbent. The parameters that can affect the recovery in preconcentration steps were examined. It was observed that the optimum parameters are pH=2.8 for both Pb and Ni, contact time=30 min and elution volume=3.0 ml. The optimized method was applied to the naturel mineral water samples together with slotted tube atom trap-AAS. Consequently, Pb and Ni concentrations were found to be (as ng ml-1) 2.0-4.0 for Keban dam lake, 1.5-4.0 for Karakaya dam lake, 2.0-10.0 for Hazar lake and 8.0-4.0 for tap water of university lab.
