Abstract (EN)

Tourism is receiving more attention every day because of its impact on the development of communities. Since the beginning, tourism has continuously grown due to its benefits. Historical and cultural monuments are one of the main factors in attracting tourists. Historical monuments represent the history and civilization of each region. Discovering the region's culture and history motivates tourists, attracts them to that region, and introduces them to diverse cultures. Many people travel to various places to see and understand the history and culture of the region. The expansion of tourism naturally increases the need for infrastructure. Architecture plays a prominent role in the tourism industry. Architecture has a direct role in providing infrastructure to meet tourists' needs and preserve the region's values and culture. One of the most critical infrastructures in tourism is accommodation. This research is conducted to investigate the role of accommodation in the controlled development of tourism in heritage areas through bibliographic research and field observations. Also, studying and analyzing cultural heritage areas and accommodation infrastructure investigates how tourism can be developed while preventing the damage or destruction of heritage and cultural regions and how the accommodation infrastructure can be provided for heritage areas. It can be found that the identity and character of a cultural heritage area are significant in the construction of accommodations, and it can, in addition to providing accommodation to tourists, develop tourism and preserve the values of the heritage area.
