Abstract (EN)

Due to the increase in environmental problems and climate change, alternative fuel vehicles have increased all over the world. Likewise, Turkey also increased the use of alternative fuel vehicles. With the widespread use of electricity and hybrid automobiles, there has been a significant increase in studies on this subject in the international literature. No studies on alternative fuel vehicles in Turkey called to the less (Aydemir, Kerem 2014 and 2014). The reason for this is that the subject is new and there is not enough data. Turkey lack of appropriate enough data to econometric studies on alternative-fuel cars in general, due to dolayıver collection's difficult from constraints such as time and cost, scope of work, TR 62 is limited to the region of the province that Adana and Mersin's urban centers. The data of the study were obtained from the questionnaires conducted to individuals living in Adana-Mersin region. In this study; It was aimed to determine how variables such as age, gender, education and income, as well as environmental sensitivity such as reduction in carbon dioxide emissions during fuel use and government incentives, affect the likelihood of individuals choosing an alternative fuel car. At the same time, it is another aim of the study to determine the possibility of individuals to buy different types of alternative fuel cars and to make policy recommendations to increase demand for alternative fuel cars. Therefore, logit and multnominal logit models were chosen as the models of the study. KeyWords: Alternative fuel vehicle, Multinominal logit model, Logit Model.
