Traditional folk medicine applications in Rize

Folk medicine contains all of methods of self-healing that people to define natüre as a result seeking prodection from kinds of evil and disease. The richness of natüre, the magical power of speech and request of a man to believe transformed this need for prodection into a great knowledge. Healing methods which are formed of relevant knowledge transferred from the generation to generation within the relationship of a master and an apprentice secretly. These methods that have been going on from past to present have become a silver lining for people who are desperate. Today most of the healing methods are forgotten. Our aim is record knowledge in question. Therefore we classified collecting traditions, beliefs and applications about folk medicine of Rize and evaluated according to their structure.
