Abstract (EN)
In this study, respirable dust consantration and its quartz conted of coal faces of the Acun, Kurul, Piriç and Taban Acılık of TTK Üzülmez Colliery were mausered. Risk levels of these coal faces were also determinat. MRE 113A gravimetric dust sampler has been used for dust measurements and ash and quartz contents of the samples have been analysed in ZKÜ and Head of Occupational Safety Training in TTK R&D laboratories using FTIR technique.As a result, dust consantrations and quartz contends of the samples obtained from Kurul and Acun coal faces are over the TWA at the III. Risk level occording to the Turkish regulations.Key Words: Respirable dust, quartz, infrared spectroscopy technique
