It has been determined that tourist guides are more in contact with tourists with different cultures and characters than other employees in the tourism industry. As a matter of fact, it is possible to say that many tourists are thought to manage and organize tours at your place, and that tourist guides make intensive sensory labor. The main purpose of this guide study is to determine the relationship between emotional labor and burnout concepts by examining the emotional labor and burnout relations of the tourist guides working in the Antalya Region Chamber of Antalya Guides. In the study, there are 1289 action tourist guides registered in Antalya Guides Chamber and 312 of these guides are the sample of the study. In December 2019, January 2020 and February 2020, tourist guides were interviewed face-to-face and the questionnaires were filled and data were collected. The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS 18 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) package program. In the study, Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient was calculated to determine the reliability of the measurement. In addition, the Sample Sufficiency Test (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin) was used to check the suitability of the data of the scales for factor analysis and the Barlett Sphericity Test was used to determine the correlation level between the variables. In order to determine the relationships between emotional labor and demographic variables, t test and Anova test were conducted. On the other hand, Man Whitney u test and Kruskal Wallis test were used to determine the relationships between burnout and demographic variables. Finally, correlation analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between emotional labor and burnout scales and sub-dimensions. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the emotional labor levels of professional tourist guides are at medium and high levels. In addition, burnout levels were found to be low and medium level. However, a negative relationship was found between emotional labor and burnout. Keywords: Tourist guide, Emotional Labor, Burnout
