Public diplomacy as an international public relations practice in Tunisia-Turkey relations (Example of TIKA Tunisia)

The purpose of this study is to examine public diplomacy in Tunisia by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) within the framework of public diplomacy as an international public relations practice in Tunisian-Turkish relations (example TIKA Tunisia). In this context, the conceptual framework and related areas of public diplomacy were examined, and actors in public diplomacy in Turkey and Tunisia were discussed in the thesis. In the study, the public diplomacy activities of TIKA in Tunisia were investigated and the extent of their impact on the scene of the public diplomatic relationship between the two countries and its contribution to the consolidation and consolidation of it. It was decided that TIKA would implement activities in the fields of education, health and economic development in line with the needs of Tunisia, and by carrying out promotional activities. To Turkey through the methods of applying public diplomacy in its various fields, such as culture, foreign aid, and the diplomacy of academic and cultural exchange. According to the results obtained from the participants, it was seen that there was no difference in terms of knowledge levels, social and professional groups of the participants. TIKA shows that the organization is equally recognized by all community groups because the p-value is greater than 0.05. Thanks to the analyzes made during the research, it was observed that Tunisians participated in TIKA events and most of those who benefited from equipment donations by participating in these events were very satisfied with TIKA. TIKA's efforts to lend a helping hand prove to be an important issue at the heart of TIKA's activities. Therefore, the participants express their satisfaction for the organization. TIKA's active role in Tunisia and its effectiveness in the stability of international relations between the two countries aims to reveal Tunisia's view of Turkey before and after the definition of TIKA activities. In addition to the effectiveness of the work carried out within the framework of strengthening and protecting international relations between Tunisia and Turkey, it strengthens the historical and political heritage that has connected the two countries since ancient times. This study shows how effective non-governmental organizations such as TIKA are in protecting the reputation, image and stability of diplomatic relations between states.
