Abstract (EN)

Progressive Republican Party, which existed Second Period of Grand National Assembly of Turkey between 1924 ? 1925, has a vital place in Democracy History of Turkey because of first opposite party in Republican History of TurkeyIn 17 November 1924, Progressive Republican Party was founded by Mustafa Kemal Pasha?s friends who joint National Struggle for Independen cealong with his. Deputies, whores igned from Republican People?s Party, founded second party in Grand National Assembly of Turkey both in parliement life and in history of Republic provided to transist multi-party system that is considered as requirement of democracy.Detailed party doctrine of Progressive Republican Party was is sued. Despite the fact that it had very short life, it especially organized in İstanbul and it supported in dependent nominees in inter media selection of 1924.Sheikh Said Rebellion that emerge in mid-February, negatively impact on some pres foundation that supported Progressive Republican Party. Some of party?s members were accused of attending this rebellion.
