Abstract (EN)
Offense of threat aims at preserving people's liberty and inner peace. Therefore, it has taken place at the seventh chapter of 106 numbered article of "Offenses Against Liberty" which is under title of 5237 numbered penal code's "Offense Against Persons" section. Old Turkish Penal Code numbered 765 and new Turkish Penal Code numbered 5237 bear several differences in terms of Threat Crime. In our thesis titled "Offense of Threat in Turkish Penal Code", it is tried to answer how is the approach of Turkish Penal Code toward crime threat and explain sanctions and innovations specific to threat crime. What is more, some problems that we frequently encounter during implementation of law but have difficulty in solving are tried to be answered under light of some decisions of Supreme Court.
