Abstract (EN)
When we examine the animal style as an important art style that developed in pre-Islamic times and Central Inner Asia, the birth, characteristics, belief, history and cultural dimensions of the animal style were also tried to be revealed. In the history of Turkish Tile Art, animal figures have an important role along with various motifs. However, in this study on Animal Figure Plates in Turkish Tile Art (from the 16th century to the present), some animal figure plates from the past to the present were divided into groups in terms of pattern, color and composition, and their periodic diversity, types and differences were examined and evaluations were made. The animals we detect on the plates are predominantly bird species. At the least, there is the figure of a monkey living on land. From the 16th century to the present day, we come across plates with animal figures in every period and every century in Turkish Tile Art. In general, each of them contains its own expressions.
