vABSTRACTLİTERARY CRITICISM IN TURKISH LITERATURE FROM 1951 TO 1961(Culture-Art and Literature Periodicals)Sema ÇETİN BAYCANLARPhD Thesis, Turkish Literature and Language DepartmentSupervisor: Mustafa APAYDINMarch 2007, 269 pagesIn this study focused on literary criticism?s topic that were published in 1951-1961 periods in Turkish Literature.This study is composed of mainly three parts. The study?s context, method andmaterial of thesis are given in the introduction part. And also necesarry explation aboutstudy that Turkish political, social and cultural life, Turkish literature in 1951-1961. Allthe same time, the query about critics and critcism are invastigated.Analysis part is formed by texts that elected the periodicals. Firstly, this partfocused on relation of critcism essay and book review and secondly, the main point ofview are given in 1951-1961 in Turkish Literarure about ciriticsm. However, criticismarticles are invastageted upon fiction, story, poem, theatre, language, anthology etc. Theendless discussion in Turkish Literarture are implacated in subtitle.As a result, comprehension of criticsm are analysised based on the text that waspublished in cultural-art and literature periodicals in 1951-1961.Key words: Turkish literature, criticsm, literary criticsm, literature, periodicals
