Translation of Sir'atu'l-Islam in Turkish literature and Suleyman B. Ali's view Sir'atu'l-Islam translation: Taste-Islam (text-review)

XI. The most famous work of Muhammed Es-Sargi (d. 573/1177), one of the important Hanafi fiqh and theologians of the century, is Şirʾatuʾl-Islam Dârıʾs-selâm. This work, written in Arabic, has the identity of a catechism in which the issues dealt with are described as deeds that should be done fondly as a requirement of Islam, rather than fiqh decrees about worship. There are many copies of each of the Turkish annotations and translations of this work, which is very popular among Turks as in other Muslim societies, in our libraries. Lezzetuʾl-Islam, a translated work written in Turkish on the basic principles of Islam and the rules of worship, contains information about Ravzatul-Islam, one of the famous translations of Şirʾatuʾl-Islam, written by Abidi. The aim of our study is to explain that Şirʾatuʾl-Islam's Süleyman b. Ali reveal the full text of Lezzetuʾl-Islam, a Turkish translation made and to provide information about the translations and works of Şirʾatuʾl-Islam in Turkish literature. Our study consists of three parts. The first section Şirʾatuʾl-Islam, which is the co-author of Imam Muhammad Şargî'n gives information about the life and works has been introduced then copies the information found in Turkey and abroad, these works were written. Later, detailed information was given about Şirʾatuʾl-Islam, copy information was shared, and the studies about the work were mentioned. The work named Şirʾatuʾl-Islam has more than one commentary and translation. In our study, the general information of the annotations is included and the copy information in the libraries is written. The translations of the work were introduced after detailed examinations. These introduced translations have been examined under two headings as translations whose translators are known and unknown. While the information of these translation copies, which were examined in detail, were written, couplet photos were also attached where necessary. In the second part of our study, detailed information about Lezzetuʾl-Islam is included. The name, copy information and content of the work, which was translated into today's alphabet with the transcription alphabet, was written by giving sample couplets from the copy. The photographs of the couplets given as examples by examining the copies under the title of Language, Spelling, Verse, Prosody and Rhyme Specialties are also included in our study. In the third part of our study, the points to be taken into consideration in the creation of the text, the transcription alphabet used in the text, the bibliography, dictionary, the copy translated into today's alphabet with the transcription alphabet and facsimile are included.
