Turkish book arts of bibliography

This thesis aims to search all the written studies on Turkish Book Arts and organizes a bibliography for the revealed data. This study first concentrates on finding books, magazines, encyclopedias in libraries and bookstores. After the publication information was gathered, the library names, classification places and numbers and the data in bibliography sections were recorded. In the thesis some books don?t have any library names and classification numbers, as these were found from special private libraries. Yet, published articles in the most various periodicals were succesfully reached. Furtherly, books, symposium communiques, encyclopedia articles and data from web addresses were respectively determined. While more sources on calligraphy gilding and miniature arts were easily found, very few work of arts as marbling bookbinding and Katı? were reached. The research contains several foreign resources in which these art branches were mentioned .The limits of this research include not only published sources in Turkish Republic but also works of these arts in other countries. The general information on Turkish Book Arts were given and data were presented in individual graphs . This research will be an important source for researchers who study on these art fields, which are our cultural inheritage
