In the light of Turkish music violin schools Turkish music performance with the violoncello

This research aims to contribute to the lack of educational materials for developing an original style in Turkish music cello performance by creating a source in cello based on the analysis of Turkish music violin schools' attitudes. The interpretation and expression elements of violin schools in Turkish music were noted and concretized by listening to accessible performance records of these schools. Based on the results of the performance analyses, accompaniments that would create an idea of attitude and style with techniques and positions to be used in Turkish music cello performance were written. Techniques and interpretations that reveal the performance style of Nubar Tekyay, Sâdi Işılay, Haydar Tatlıyay, and Cevdet Çağla from the violin schools were used as a reference in the use of cello as an accompanying and solo instrument and in its performance with a traditional style. Based on the interpretations and techniques used, it has been concluded that gains have been made in creating an original cello performance style through the use of written accompaniments and interpretation elements in the Turkish music cello performance, and different technical and accompaniment suggestions have been enriched to ensure a rich infrastructure.
