Abstract (EN)
Automotive is an industry branch with high added value in terms of generating tax revenue, increasing exports and providing employment in the country where it is located,it has an undeniable importance for the realization of economic growth in countries. It is both a buyer and a seller in the economy, it includes forward and backward dependence with various sectors and creates a driving force on other sectors. In this study, comparisons were made between Turkiye and South Korea, which was considered to be equivalent to Turkiye in terms of economic indicators in the 1960's and became a giant in the world automotive industry, in terms of the strategies implemented since the 1960's, the emerging developments and economic policies. The aim of the study is to make inferences for Turkiye based on the experience of South Korea.
