The place of the photography with the historical process in the western and Turkish paintings

Photography, which was accepted as the foundation of 19th century by the exploration of the Camera Obscure, has stepped in to a long-term adventure. It has a major breakthrough progress with the excretions of Joseph Niepce, and took many of the artists to seek new researches and new discoveries by effecting Neoclassism, Romanticism, Realism, İmpressionism, Expressionism, Cubism, Futurism, Dadaism, Surrealism and Pop Art movements in time. This effect of the photo which was created in Europe had begun to show itself in the oriental studies in our country in the 19th century and so the growth and spread of the photo, of course, has provided important contributions to Turkish Painting. While the basis for relationships was laid in photography and paintings in this period, many orientalist painters had come the subject field of view of İstanbul as an important element of the paintings. As well as the orientalist images, `Turkish primitives? squaring the photos obtained by using magnification techniques has started with the photographic view of this process, then with the photorealistic approach of some artists work, and has won the Turkish Government as an important identity to some artists photo material's implementation.
