Abstract (EN)
Religion is a social instution existing with humanity as it includes belief and worship principles. But with historic progressing process it manipulates or dissappears by departing its original source. Religious phenomenon has relationship with states's political application. Instead of ottoman empire which governs six century with İslamic reference turkey republic estaplished. There is secularism in the center of turkey republic's becoming contemperary and modernized revolution. When we look the novels between 1934 -1938 years which are mentioned in our thesis, we see that all the writers are impressed politic of term. In some of novels religious symbols acceptes as opposite power. Officer writers who feels compulsory himself to defence new ideology, try to make formers wortless to news by using especially superstition belief. Other subject in thesis is religious symbols. Religious symbols derive from religion and belief perception. At the present time words used oftenly such as Allah, angel, salah, azan, elf, magic, vow, devil, mosque, veil, mawlid, swear, church, monatery, muslim, jew, catholics evaluated as a religious symbols. these religious symbols are important literature narration material. Writers/ poets can benefit from these symbols by the way to conveying feeling and thought. In our literary works, religious language are used sometimes to strengthen the realistic side of narration sometimes to give an esthetic value to the narration. Term's belief emotion is slovenly. most of the writers head toward the slovenly belief of anatolian public. Turkish novel may meet a lot of irreligiousness announcement or questionize the existence of Allah obviosly for the first time. Key words: Religious symbols, perception, belief crisis
