Abstract (EN)
In this study measurement of branch performance in Turkish commercial banking sector and compensating training requirements has been analyzed. The function that banks perform has been increasing both in types and in quality, which fuels the issues of branch performance management alive and current. Determinant of bank performance as a whole is a function of its individual braches? effective and efficient operations. In measuring performance, balance sheet aggregates, various financial ratios along with their developments over years have been taken as main data. Predicting the course of developments of branch operations accurately and analyzing its probable results, would enable the bank to plan its future effectively. With results of branch performance the contribution of a branch to bank?s overall profitability, and personnel performance in that branch could be measured. As conclusion, the methodology utilized in this study provide means and methods to determine the adequacy of a brach?s profitability and productivity in a competitive market environment,
