This research report analyzes women's labor force participation in Turkey and Iraq. Both countries are developing countries struggling for their economic growth. A comparative study aims to compare women's labor force participation in economic development. The current study is qualitative in nature and data is collected from secondary source. A vast literature review is done in chapter 2. Labor force participation of Iraq and Turkey have been compared in the current study.The timeline of comparison of Labor force participation of Turkey and Iraq is 2000-2020. Economic growth is also elaborate due to women's labor force participation. After comparison it is concluded that Turkey, women's labor force participation is 26.23 times higher than Iraq, as Iraq struggles with its economy after a long war. Overall, women's empowerment is low in Iraq. However, some NGOs are working for women's empowerment in Iraq. There is still a great need for awareness about the women's labor force. That's why women's labor participation is very low in Iraq. Regardless, the situation in Turkey is better for women's empowerment than in Iraq. Turkey's policy on women's empowerment has lately evolved. Women may now work in any area with the same freedoms as men. Because of the male-dominated society in Iraq, there are still some restrictions on women's employment. There is little improvement in the women's labor force rate from the past. In the future, Iraqi women will contribute more to the economic growth of Iraq.
