Abstract (EN)
Corruption is considered an important factor that harms country economies. Corruption weakens the social structure along with economic growth. Particularly in developing countries, corruption must be fought to improve economic performance. Its ability to reach economically developed countries depends on its economic growth and development performance. Therefore, it is extremely important to prevent corruption in these countries. The harmful effects of corruption on the economy lead to the need for continuous and conscious strategies in the fight against corruption. In this study, the experiences of Turkey and international organizations are compared in terms of corruption strategies, and the strategies needed by the Turkish tax system, which has a large share in corruption, are determined. As a result of the research, it is concluded that the Turkish tax system should carry out radical reforms by pursuing fundamental strategies and policies to prevent corruption.
