Abstract (EN)

Fairy tales are genres that are transferred from culture to culture, from geography to geography and spread by settling in the memory of society, as well as being a tool for revealing a number of cultural codes on the literary-social axis. Fairy tales compiled over the centuries have an important place in ensuring the continuity of the ideologies in which they are produced. Gender roles, which are endowed with the dominant ideology in society, can also be spread through fairy tales. From this point of view, fairy tales, both with the hidden symbols and messages they have, and with the transfer of gender roles, also contain qualities that are available for re-reading and can be examined. Anti tales, on the other hand, produce new meanings against the traditional messages and roles in narratives with the discourse they have. Despite the conventionality in fairy tales, it develops, changes roles in the changing world order; reveals hidden meanings and symbols. The study consists of an introduction and four main parts. In the introductory section, the theoretical framework of the study is mentioned. In the first part of the study, its functions are listed over the concept of fairy tale. After that, the symbols and messages contained in traditional fairy tales and gender roles were examined by dividing them into subheadings. In the second part, anti tale is handled as a literary genre; selected examples of anti tales are presented with plots and subject-action tables. In the conclusion part of the second part, comparisons were made with quotation sentences in order to embody the differences between traditional tales and anti tale examples. The third part of the work is devoted to the reproduction of narratives in the context of anti tales. In the fourth part, the results obtained from the evaluations, discussion and suggestions are also included. Six works were written by us in accordance with the type of anti tales. In this study, cultural symbols related to gender roles in fairy tales were revealed. It has been determined that the transformative function of the anti tale genre and the standards related to gender roles are impositions. It is also suggested that works in the genre of anti tales can be included in textbooks on the changing world order. Keywords: Anti tale, Turkish education, Fictional text, Reproduction.
