Abstract (EN)
In this study, Old Anatolian Turkish perspectives of the verbs in Turkish Dictionary are emphasized. However, only A, B and C items are examined considering the limitations of the study period. These verbs are evaluated in three divisions which are identified as basic, denominative and verbs which have origins that are not identified nor have discrepancies about their origins. The main purpose of our study is to determine the verbs in Turkish Dictionary whether are present in the Old Anatolian Turkish, if any, to determine which forms or meanings they have.In the introduction chapter of the thesis, information about the study is given initially. Since this study is based on the Old Anatolian Turkish, general information about Old Anatolian Turkish are given in this chapter and besides, some phonetic characteristics from Old Anatolian Turkish to Turkey Turkish are particularly emphasized regarding to being associated to the verbs in the study field.Turkish Dictionary has been selected as baseline so as to show the general word presence of Turkey Turkish, as well as in order to show the general word presence of Old Anatolian Turkish, Screening Turkish Dictionary has been selected as baseline. Since Turkish is a rooted language, it renders the historical lexicography important. Screening Turkish Dictionary is considered to be very significant although there is not any sufficient trial. It is intended to make a contribution to our historical dictionary and to evaluate some Screening Dictionary data from a different point of view with this study. In the examination chapter of the thesis, the verbs are in three divisions which are identified as basic, denominative and verbs which have origins that are not identified nor have discrepancies about their origins. Basic and dominative verbs are evaluated based on their similar or different meanings and forms according to being included both in Turkish Dictionary and Screening Dictionary. Besides, these verbs are examined according to their states to be included solely in Turkish Dictionary or solely in Screening Dictionary. Verbs which have either origins that could have not been identified or have discrepancies about their origins are presented to readers? concern by examining some origin data studies and are attempted to be evaluated. In the conclusion chapter of the thesis, a documentation about the verbs which are identified regarding to their meanings and forms in Turkish Dictionary and Screening Dictionary and nominal data associated with these verbs are presented.
