Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is; investigate the postgraduate theses about transformational geometry which made in Turkey by doing a sistematic analysis. This study is considered important in terms of determining the deficiencies in our country in the theses written about transformation geometry and guiding the researches on this subject. In the study, National Thesis Center Database of Higher Education Council Publication and Documentation Department was used as data collection tool. In the National Thesis Center Automation, Mathematics Education Department, Mathematics and Science Education Department, Science and Mathematics Fields Education Department, Mathematics Department and Class Education Department options are searched separately for the concepts of transformation geometry. As a result, 39 postgraduate theses were found including 4 doctoral, 35 master theses. The research model is document analysis which is one of the qualitative research methods. The data of these graduate theses were analyzed to create this study's findings using descriptive and content analysis techniques. When the findings of the research were evaluated, it was seen that the majority of the theses belonged to reflection from the subtitles of transformation geometry. As a result of the code and category determination process for the theses used in the research, it was found that the theses were mostly directed towards the MoNE-Teacher-Researchers and the results were directed towards the cognitive field. Although it is seen that the results and suggestions of theses about transformation geometry vary as a result of the research, it is necessary to increase the number of original studies on this subject. Keywords: Graduate theses, mathematics education, transformation geometry.
