In the struggle against sexual harassment in Turkey "Mor Needle Campaign"

This study is about Purple Needle examines the Campaign, which was organized by feminist Women, against sexual harassment in Turkey, in November 2, 1989 . In the first part, information about the French Revolution, which is of great importance for the feminism, and the basic dynamics of the period's infrastructure in line with the scope and framework of the research, was given, and the pre-revolutionary women's situation and their struggle to gain rights are explained. The struggle for women's rights in the United States and England was also examined. In the second part, the movement of women againist sexual harassment in Turkey at the summit in 1980, had described the campaign against violence against women and rape. The effects of the political environment and the military coup on the women's movement of those years were examined. The effect of the formation and development of feminist publications on the women's movement was mentioned. In the third part of the study, point where the women's movement in Turkey in the 1990s, 1990s reflection of the movement in the 1980s, the steps taken are discussed in terms of the achievements and institutionalization occurs. In the fourth chapter in the 1980s and 1990s given efforts to campaigns for legal reform, they described their struggle of women in the private world and Turkey.
