Abstract (EN)
With the advancing technology, the forms of communication have undergone many changes in the last 30 years and people have had the chance to produce and share information faster thanks to new methods. In our age, the most important of these developments, the Internet allows audio, visual and literary content to be accessed by a wider audience. A lot of information is often shared by researchers and students for educational or other purposes via the Internet. The use of blog, which is one of the methods of sharing of academic information, has continued to increase since the 2000s. The features of academic blogs and their suitability to academia form the basis of this study. In this study, in order to determine the similarities of Turkish academic blogs to academic text genres, the blog environment (blogosfer) was explored and the texts were examined by considering the theories of the prominent researchers in the literature on text genre and genre analysis. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the percentage of similarity in terms of structural features of Turkish academic blogs is low, but many linguistic indicators indicate academic text characteristics with a rate of 47%.
