Financial analysis of financial leasing companies in Turkey before and during covid

In this study, the financial analysis of the financial leasing companies in Turkey, the effects of financial leasing on the financial performance of the leasing companies and the development of the financial leasing sector in Turkey are revealed. In the study, the data included in the independently audited financial statements, profit loss and other comprehensive income statements of the following 8 Financial Leasing Companies traded in Borsa Istanbul (BIST) for the pre-pandemic (2018-2019) and post-pandemic (2020-2021) financial periods A comparative analysis was carried out using the ratio analysis method. As a result, it is understood that the financial leasing sector has protected itself financially in the pandemic environment and survived unscathed. It is thought that uncertainties such as the pandemic experienced in the current process will offer new opportunities to the financial leasing sector, and if the necessary steps are taken by the financial leasing sector, it will come out of this period stronger.
