Abstract (EN)

The infestation/invasion status of some invasive species in Turkey was evaluated in Diyarabkır province of Turkey in the current study. Moreover, the presence of any new exotic/invasive species was also searched in through exploratory surveys in the study. The survey was carried out during April-August 2018 in the four districts of Diyarbakır-Merkez county (Bağlar, Kayapınar, Sur and Yenişehir) and 9 other districts (Çermik, Çınar, Çüngüş, Dicle, Eğil, Ergani, Hani, Lice, Silvan, Hazro and Kocaköy). A total 300 points (vineyard, lentil, wheat, cotton, corn, eggplant, cucumber, tomato, melon and watermelon) were surveyed. The presence/absence of a new invader in Diyarbakir province and the coverage area, density and incidence of the existing invaders were determined. As a result of this study, the current status of 19 invasive species, i.e., Abutilon theophrastii Medik., Amaranthus albus L., Amaranthus blitoides S. Watson, Amaranthus palmeri (S.) Wats., Amaranthus retroflexus L., Cuscuta campestris Yunck., Cyperus rotundus L., Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop., Echinochloa colonum (L.) Link, Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) P. Beauv, Physalis angulata L., Physalis philadelphica var. İmmaculata Waterf., Portulaca oleracea L., Setaria viridis (L.) P. Beauv., Xanthium spinosum L., Xanthium strumarium L., Cusccuta monogyna VAHL, Ipoomoea purpurea (L.) ROTH and Conyza sp. was determined in Diyarbakır province.
