Abstract (EN)

The use of computers and the internet, which entered our lives at the beginning of the 1990's, was the virtual place where simple games were played, electronic mail could be sent. Apart from the initial use of the internet, it began to be used for business purposes in 1995. When we look at the definition of e-commerce in general; it can be defined as the electronic environment in which individuals and businesses make purchases of information, products, goods and services via the Internet. With the increase of telecommunication and communication facilities day by day, transition from traditional commercial to electronic commercial has become more interesting. The firms have started the introducing and sales processes on the internet thanks to the prepackaged programs they have purchased in their own buildings. Some companies do not have web sites so they are doing their sales through virtual shops through B2C companies. In the first part of the thesis, basic concepts were examined and a preliminary information was given, in the second part, critical source scanning was done and similar and different aspects of the researches made by examining the literature were revealed and in the last part, deppoavantaj.com company was investigated through exploration and observation and also the results obtained from the research were compared. As a result of these results, there are findings about the security problem, which is one of the most important threats of the enterprises doing electronic commerce. According to the company, the difficulty of the product ordering process has highlighted the security issue of the web page. Besides, it has been determined that the most important element in electronic commerce is the pricing. In general, the conclusion reached in the thesis study is taxation, customer satisfaction, institutionalization, competitive pricing and return-exchange processes in electronic commerce, and also problems and processes are mentioned. If the case analysis is to be analyzed in a different sector rather than in the garment sector, different outcomes may arise.
