Abstract (EN)
In this study, first of all, hazelnut production, consumption in Turkey, around the world, hazelnut export data were examined, information about the structure of the hazelnut market was given. In addition, in the study, the value chain analysis, the stages of the analysis were explained, and the literature review on previous value chain analyzes in agricultural product markets was summarized. There is information, data about the hazelnut market in Ordu. In the empirical analysis phase of the study, the price transmission mechanism, which can be considered as an indicator of the efficiency of the value, supply chains of agricultural products in the literature, was analyzed with the hazelnut producer and consumer prices data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Engle-Granger two-stage cointegration, error correction model was used as the analysis method. In the hazelnut value chain, it can be concluded that retailers increase their profits at the expense of consumers.
