Abstract (EN)
In order to prevent global warming, which has reached dangerous levels with the increase in energy demand worldwide, studies are carried out to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. It is known that approximately one fourth of the energy consumed in the world today is spent in residences. For this reason, increasing the thermal performance in houses is important in terms of reducing the amount of energy needed. Primary applications for increasing the thermal performance in buildings are strengthening for thermal insulation and efforts to reduce energy use in material production. It can be said that these practices observed in new buildings should be carried out in accordance with sustainable criteria, as in current building practices, in the majority of conservation practices today. Calculations for thermal performance in historical buildings is the HBIM (Heritage Building Information Modeling) method, which is the historical building referenced version of BIM technologies, which is today's rising value and based on calculations and analyzes at different stages from building production to usage process. The Heritage Building Information Modeling (HBIM) platform offers an evaluation opportunity in the restoration and reuse of historical buildings, where energy efficiency is analyzed, results are observed according to different parameters, and alternatives for implementation are created. BIM-based models obtained from point clouds are used in cultural heritage studies in the HBIM environment. Within the scope of the thesis, a general evaluation of HBIM studies was carried out in the first place. Secondly, in the thesis study, evaluations of the energy efficiency of the historical building of the HBIM platform were made, and two examples of Traditional Turkish houses located in two different climatic regions where wood and stone materials were used together were carried out as a case study. In this direction, a semi-parametric energy calculation and optimization system has been developed in the Dynamo interface with a semantic perspective based on BIM and TS 825. With the developed system, evaluations and results on how to increase energy efficiency in the protection and use applications of historical buildings have been achieved. According to the results, data on the innovative approaches brought by the use of the HBIM platform to conservation practices around the world have been revealed. In conservation applications, the improvement of thermal insulation properties in a way that reduces energy consumption without damaging the original identity of the historical building can be achieved more effectively with technology. In addition, in the study, evaluations are made by referring to the applications made in our country of the legal regulation that provides the order of action for measures to increase the energy performance of historical buildings.
