Young voters trends in Turkey and research of Batman city

In this study, a survey was conducted to determine the political orientations of the young voters living in Batman. The sample of the researchers constitutes 402 young voters residing in the province of Batman. The analysis of the data was done with SPSS 23 software and it was worked with 95% confidence level. According to the data obtained in Turkey; education, terrorism and unemployment are the most important problems. For the province it is understood that environmental pollution, roads and unemployment are the leading problems. The most admired politician in Batman is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Although many seing Turkey as a part of Turkish-Islamic world; the proportion of those who are seing as a part of Europe is also high. While there are a lot of people who think that young people should stay away from politics, there are also quite a lot of people who think that politics and science can go together and young people do not have a problem in politics. The most important reason for not being able to find a new job is political opinion, lack of job oportunity and absence of influental contact. Participants define themselves as Islamist, Kurdish nationalist or Conservative, respectively, as political views. Those who indicate that they can not find a job because there is no job are the most hopeful in the future, but those who indicate that they can not find it due to their gender are the least hopeful in the future. While those who idendify as conservative, liberal, Islamist, Kurdish nationalist, Kemalist and nationalist think young people are free enough, those who identify as secular, Turkish nationalist and social democratic think that they are not free. While those who are Kurdish, Arab and Zaza think that young people are free enough, those who identify as Turkish and other etnicities think otherwise.
