Migration problem and management in Turkey: Van province example"

Migration is one of the ancient phenomena of humanity in terms of time and location. Since the day Turkey has been established, have been exposed to migration. After the determination of the borders, our country was exposed the migration of kinship at first and today, it is also the target of economic migration. This study examines the immigrations historically, in terms of varieties and its causes and effects. It also focuses locationally on the immigration in Turkey and internal-external migrations experienced in Turkey. In the second part of the study, the phenomenon of migration is discussed how they are managed in Turkey. In this scope, the structural development of migration management in Turkey was emphasized and the structural and legal processes of migration have been mentioned by the organization of the General Directorate of Migration Administration. In addition, the duties and authorities of the general directorate and Van Provincial Migration Administration were also discussed and the provincial organization of migration was aimed to be clarified. The main situation and events concerning the irregular migration phenomenon that Van Provincial Migration Administration faced were examined. The main purpose of the thesis is to examine the migration of Van in the third and last chapter. In this scope, the migration process of Van since the republic was established and the external migration of Van was tried to be understood and explained with the survey. The reliability of the study has been proven by the reliability analysis. By the help of the survey, it is aimed to understand the reasons of the foreigners to prefer Turkey and Van and also, to see if there is a common point between the foreigners who prefers.
