The state of ready-to-wear industry in Turkey: Ankara provience sample

In this study; as a sample of Ankara provience in Turkey; an analysis has been done of socio-economic characteristics of women working in textile and ready-to-wear industry; attitudes and behaviors towards social norms; and elements affecting workplace problems. The data used in the study were obtained from the working women by questionnaire; and logit models were used in analyzing the factors affecting workplace problems. According to the results obtained, the average age of the women is 37 years and the average household size is 3.6 persons. 28,2% of the women are primary school, 27,1% are middle school and 38,8% are high school graduates. If some of the problems of women are resolved such as their family responsibilities; the level of education of whom working in textile and ready-wear sector; their training needs for women's health; and expectations for the future of their children; it is assumed that there will be a decrease in women's workplace problems.
