Investigation of quality of service in Turkey and Iraq sports business sense

Abstract (EN)

In this study, Turkey and Iraq to the outgoing members of fitness centers, sports centers and related perceived as a descriptive study conducted for the assessment of the expected quality of service. Research universe, Gaziantep in Turkey, Erbil in Iraq is comprised of individuals who attend sports centers in the city. The sample group consists of 500 Turks and 179 Iraqis. As a data collection instrument, Service Quality Assessment Scale developed by Lam (2000) and adapted to Turkish by Gürbüz et al. (2005) was used to determine the quality of services provided in sports centers. The data obtained from the scales were coded in a computer environment and analyzed statistically by using SPSS 22.0 program. The Independent Samples t test was used to compare the two groups, and the One-Way ANOVA test was used to compare multiple groups. The Post Hoc LSD test was used to determine the groups from which significant differences in multiple groups were derived. SERVQUAL scores were obtained by subtracting the expected service points from the perceived service scores and creating a SERVQUAL score of + and -. As a result, the quality of service for work in Iraq discussed in both Turkey and understanding of the research group fitness centers are negative. Because servQual scores are negative in all sub-dimensions. The comparison between the two countries, the quality of service of sports business in Turkey was determined to have higher scores. In Turks, it was found that women had higher expectations of service than staff and dressing room compared to men, while staff and program perceived better service, while Iraqi men were found to have higher service quality perceptions in dressing room than women in all sub dimensions. It has been observed that those who have high incomes in the personnel sub-dimension of the Iraqi group have higher expectation scores than the personnel services. In the Turkish group, the income level of the middle and high income group was reached as a result of the more positive perceptions of service quality towards the program. Similarly, those with higher incomes were found to be more positive in the dressing room perceptions. While there is not much difference in terms of educational level in the expected and perceived service quality of the Iraqi group, it is seen that the expectation score increases and the perception scores decrease in parallel with the increase in education level in the Turkish group. It was determined that those who have a high membership duration to the sports center have a high level of service quality perceptions. In terms of the frequency of use of the facility, it is not found any difference in the opinions of the individuals in both countries in the expected service quality scores. It is determined that those who have high level of satisfaction from the program applied in sports facilities in both countries use the facility more according to their perceived service quality points. It was concluded that those who have less than 1 hour of daily use have a low perception of quality of service in dressing room in sports center scores of perceived service quality in terms of daily use time.
