Female military identity in Turkey and psycho-social reasons

Since ancient times in the history of the world, people have taken various actions to break up communities. With the emergence of the state structure, these actions turned into rebellion against the authority and terrorist acts emerged for various reasons. From the first terrorist organizations to this time, different types of actions have been seen in the organizations. Terrorist organizations have also differentiated in the changing world after the French Revolution and the Industrial Revolution. This differentiation was observed not only ideologically or operationally, but also in terms of the characteristics of its militants. Female militants in the PKK, which has been operating in our country since the 1980s, have been examined. Especially after the 90s, the presence of women in the organization and the duties of women were examined. An evaluation has been made on the reasons and consequences of women's active participation in the organization, and the psycho-social reasons for the female militant identity.
